I am a firm believer in not having any regrets. My life has been far from perfect, but everything I have been through, everything I have experienced has shaped me in to the person I am today, and I am good with that. I prefer to look at the not-so-great times as learning experiences instead of mistakes. We take what life throws at us and we learn and we grow.

Happy New Year!! Are you working on a project life/project 52/project 365 or some other way of documenting your life in 2014? I started last year and I’m really looking forward to getting started for 2014. There are so many different ways to do it…paper, hybrid, and digital. Mine happen to be all digital, but I often spend hours oohing and ahhhing over some gorgeous hybrid and paper projects. The key to keeping up, for me anyway, is having a great stash of things at the ready so that I can plop in photos and journal it up. The shop at OSD is filling up with some fabulous supplies for all your PL/P52/P365 needs. Check out some of these great goodies from our awesome designers:

And this is just a few of the items available, and there will be more coming soon!! Make sure you check out the Project Life category in the shop – Project Life.  We’re also talking Project Life in the forum and sharing pages – come join us and share your pages and ideas – Project Life Central.

Hi, I’m Melissa, and I’d like to share a couple of my favourite layouts from the OSD gallery. From whimsical to bold and vivacious, each one of these layouts just jumped out at me while I was browsing around the gallery.

It seems like life is super busy these days.  I don’t think that we tend to glorify it in our house, but these are still wise words to keep in mind. Sometimes we take for granted that we will have time to do all of the things we want to do.  There are no guarantees though, so we need to stop the busy-making and start some conscious living!  How do you keep from getting too busy?  Do you have an easy way to create balance?  At this time of year, those are smart things to think about and/or put into place so you don’t wear yourself out or get burned out or grumpy.  :)

I thought this was a good reminder to start out the week.

Sometimes, we get caught up in the hustle and bustle of holiday preparation or the typical work week or any of the other things that weigh on our minds and keep our energies focused elsewhere.  Our minds can’t hold onto both positive and negative energy at the same time, and for some reason, our minds find it easier to hold negative energy.  It is important to stop and think once in awhile about where our minds are.  Just that simple act can make a huge difference.  AND if you stop and think and think positively, it will be even better.  So don’t forget to take a moment today to remind yourself of how awesome you are and how awesome you can be.

Then… be awesome!

Today, in the US, it is Veterans’ Day.  A day where we honor the service given by men and women throughout the years who have fought and died for our country and others’ countries.  We may not always agree about the politics behind military actions, but it seems that we can be grateful that there are people willing to get out there and do it.  And maybe, just maybe, there will come a time where we don’t have to put people in harm’s way, that might just be the highest honor and appreciation of all.

Hi!

I am here today to bring you my choice of this week’s words. November really is the month of saying thanks so of course I wanted words that have to do with being thankful.

And then I found this wonderful saying. I think we should really keep that in mind. Every day.
