Journaling: Recently, the 2nd graders took their usual field trip to the Witte Museum. Although it is not specifically a childrens museum, the staff there cater to the elementary schools that visit. There is a special live animal exhibition called “Animals in the Wild” that the museum puts on for field trips, in addition to the regular museum exhibits. There is also the HEB Science treehouse, filled with child friendly exhibits and an outdoor drum set on the top floor that is a favorite with the kids year after year.
