Designer Spotlight | Mari Koegelenberg

Today, we’re kicking off a brand new monthly feature called Designer Spotlight! And the very talented Mari Koegelenberg was nice enough to be my guinea pig and be the very first up! I hope you’ll enjoy learning a bit more about Mari and don’t forget to snag the sweet gift she’s left for our OSD readers!

Q: Where are you from?
A: Born & raised in South Africa & moved to the beautiful Napa Wine Country in 2008.

Q: Where do you sell your products?
A: I am exclusively at The Digichick, but you can also purchase my paper products from My Minds Eye. I also create cutting files and have quiete a selection of fun hybrid friendly templates available.

Q: Describe your design style.
A: I am all over the place BUT I have always loved making unique patterned papers and as a hybrid scrapper - paper is my number one tool/supply. I love to add a distressed and shabby feel to all my kits with a fun and sweet touch of whimsy.

Q: When did you start designing?
A: I starrted designing in 2005 when Digital Scrapbooking was still in it’s infancy.

Q: Do you scrapbook as well?
A: Yes, but mostly paper/hybrid layouts.

Q: Favorite thing to design?
A: Hands down, papers.

Q: All time favorite product you’ve made?
A: Hello Sunshine - it just captures Summer with its beautiful bright colors and fun unique elements.

Q: What’s your latest product?
A: Just My Type

Q: What’s your FAVORITE thing about being a designer?
A: I love, love creating things and what I love most about being a designer is making something that I can and want to use. I dabble in so many different creative art forms, but in my heart I always will stay a digi gal… I love my computer and I love that I can create and share my work with such a great community.
