WHAT THE HECK IS PROJECT LIFE?!

In a nutshell, it's a album documenting all the bits of your life through out the year... yup, mundane moments and all, but it's broken down into a simplified (well not always) format, making it highly beloved by many. People do this in traditionally (using paper), digitally, or hybrid (mixing the two).

I also found a lot of inspiration on the web during 2012. I found several blogs for people who were regularly posting their PL pages, choosing people with completely different styles, paper, hybrid, digi, simple, very elaborate. That gave me the feeling that it was okay no matter how simple or artsy that I wanted to make mine.

I'm really looking forward to getting started with this. I totally enjoyed doing the Dec Daily and have been so proud of myself for keeping up with it, I'm hoping that will push me to keep up with this as well.

This will be my first go-around with PL. I've never attempted it before, and I'm excited. I'm trying to decide which Becky Higgins kit I'd like to use as a base, then come here for additional journaling cards as needed. I want the whole album to be cohesive.

For those of you doing PL in 2013 ... are you starting your 2013 book on January 1st or another date? I'm struggling with that ... last year I started my week's on Sundays but not sure the best way to go about it in 2013!

I'm officially starting with the first, but will still do weeks starting on Sunday. It will just be wonky the first week.

Well... I'm going to try and squeeze this into my schedule LOL... will probably fail at this one as well.

I've downloaded the Photo365 app for my iPhone, so at least I can record the photos and notes for those days.... then when I am ready to go, I can make my pages.

I'm going to use Chantal's Whoa Rudolf templates.... is that okay or are you supposed to use proper PL templates?

Totally do what you want, Jules. Those templates would be great.

The traditional project life stuff tracks a week at a time and doing multiple photos per week, but you totally can do it anyway you want to do it. It is all about what is comfortable and what works for you. I think that is why people don't keep up. I think if you feel like you have to do it "the way" you end up feeling like you it doesn't work for you, and then it can get overwhelming.

I agree with Kimberlee 100%! Make it work for you - you can tweak it however you want! You can totally do it, Jules! I know it! And Chantal's templates would be perfect, I think!!!
