Yeah, you all have accents, but I don't. I sound like the majority of people on tv, so I feel like I don't have one. Hee hee. Seattle doesn't have an accent. I love accents though and can usually mimic them within a few minutes or end up picking them up from people I'm around. I used to work at a place where we had reps from all over the country/world. I'd talk to one of them and then hang up and mimic their accent to let everyone know who just called.
My DD uses a British accent sometimes. Mostly when she's talking for one of the dogs. She used to be able to do Austin Powers so incredibly spot-on, it was hilarious. And she wasn't that old at the time.
I'm South African, so I guess I have a South African accent...
Yup, I'm pretty sure you can hear the Kiwi accentFor proof, it's on the videos in the photog forum. I hate our accent though - it's so...something. Don't know.
Kathryn, I love Kiwi accent! I think it's hot! My best friend is in NZ and she's picked up Kiwi accent. It's the cutest thing ever! Although she is now dating a South African, so she is also picking up SA accent and it's even more cute! tee hee![]()
I definitely have an accent. English isn't my first language (I learned when I was 17 in Malaysia). I had SUPER strong Malaysian accent for awhile, but then I worked with Americans who tried hard to get rid of my accent. So I had .. ugh .. I don't know .. a bit of an American accent with a tinge of something Malaysian. Then I went to live on a ship for more than 2 years with 350 people from 55 countries. Now, that's interesting! I ended up with a "Doulos accent" (The ship was called Doulos) which is a mix of every accent you can possible think of. LOL! Now I've lived in Scandinavia for 4 years, and I have picked up viking accent. My hubby says when I speak to a Danish, I have Danish accent. When I speak to a Faroese, I have Faroese accent. Last year we went to Singapore, and I switched to Singaporean accent, hubby was like "Who are you??" Bahahahahaha
My friend is from South Africa and I love when she talks to me..lol!!
