Backstreet boys!!! We haven't been out for NYE in YEARS and YEARS, but my husband found this concert near by so we are going. Now I just have to squeeze my hips into something shiny and black![]()
No plans here as of yet. Probably stay home with the kids and watch the ball drop, drink some wine, and be our goofy selves. Sometimes we have leftover fireworks, or one of the neighbors doesMust have cabbage on New Year's Day, and then spend the rest of the time moping and complaining about having to go back to work on the 2nd.
Id love to do something, but Ill be in bed by 7 pm... watching American Horror story Asylum... till I fall asleep LOL
Bella has a respite night on Friday... so Id like to say I will do something then? But prolly be in bed by 7 again
I so dull LOL
Ugh! I don't like New Year's Eve! Too much drama in my circle. I usually volunteer to work the night shift, but I am working dayside tomorrow. So I think I'm going to stay home, have some snacks and watch When Harry Met Sally, which I have decided is a good New Year's Eve movie.
I have kind of a strange living situation where we live in duplex that actually connects on the inside. Luckily, our neighbors are some of our best friends so we've decided to throw a big New Year's Eve bash. Only, we never got around to telling people this until less than a week ago, so it might actually be a quiet, playing European board games, kind of bash. We'll see what the evening brings.

If I'm not asleep at midnight, we'll probably toast with sparkling juice. We have some fireworks that we were unable to set off at 4th of July (fire hazard from the drought) that we may set off, but a lot depends on the snow. We're expecting a small snowstorm here (about 6 inches?) and I don't feel like getting myself out in the cold for a few lousy fireworks. But, that's just me.
We never do much for NYE. We might play some board games as a family, munch on appetizers, but that's really all...
We don't do anything exciting. Nine times out of ten, DH falls asleep watching something, and then I usually wait up until midnight just because if I fall asleep before, the fireworks startle me. We are at the beach this year, so we may try to brave the elements and go to watch fireworks, but we have Kennedy with us, so probably not so much, although he would have no problem staying up (little no-sleep-monster). I think my bestie is down at her beach place, so we may check in with them to see what they are up to. New Year's Day we'll probably drive home. Yawnsville.
I have started a new tradition though. I force everyone to fill out these sheets. I just started it last year, so this will be two in a row. Big tradition. LOL.
It makes me feel better that there are other people having a boring NYs like me! Most people we know are out of town, and to be honest I can't be bothered going out just for the sake of it. We're planning a movie and a few drinks - nothing exciting at all. For midnight, might do a shot of the yummy fancy tequila my hubby got me for Christmas. Then we're going to have a super productive 1 January doing lots of work around the house.
