The past few years have been very limited for my boys - $200 each.....
now that I am 'manless' and not supporting him..lol, I have more money to spend... and my boys have been through a lot this past year and have helped me lots so I have splurged more.. this year....BUT IT WON'T BE Like this every year, I might add....500 to 600 each and I just have a few stocking stuffers to get.
(Josh is getting a laptop, a game, a video, an AXE collection of frangrances and a bunch of clothes from Warehouse One, Jared an Xbox Kinect, game video, transformer, and a bunch of clothes from Warehouse One).
My boys are also 14.5 and 11.5 and are wearing men's size clothing as well, so it is more expensive in the clothing dept. This is the time of year I make up for not doing a huge back to school shop![]()

Hanging out with the posse!!
I spent about 250$ on my daughter last year but this time around, she is getting less. Times have been rough lately financially but I am lucky that she still enjoys smal things. I normally stay away from toys since she gets mostly that from others. I normally buy her an assortment of French and English books with clothing or some cute barrettes. This year I got her some Hello Kitty accessories and a bag. She is only four but she will be over the moon![]()
Well, if I have to convert, I guess we spent about $40 max on kiddo's gifts. And that's only because we did christmas with the in-laws last Sunday and will do christmas with my family on actual christmas day, so two sets of gifts.
Converting my currency to US$, we spent about $160 on each plus maybe $60 on gifts from the kids to each other. They only get 2 presents each from us. The girls will get a tablet from us parents, not an iPad - they are over the moon expensive around here - but something similar and much less expensiveThe baby will get an electronic piano for 2 year olds LOL He loves the real piano and keeps helping his big sister practice. This is our attempt to get him off his sister's back

Well, when my kids were young and at the toy stage, it was much cheaper, around 200 a kid and I would fill the bottom of the tree with gifts. Now I have a freshman in college who needs a new laptop (replace her imac) and is in to photography and wants a new nikkor lens.
And I have a 13 that wants a new iphone and video game gadgets ($200 just for an xbox headset) so it is MUCH more expensive. but the presents are fewer. When my daughter got her first laptop a few years ago, that was the ONLY gift she received from me and santa. We don't have much under our tree anymore. Our tree looks sad,![]()
My parents are the only other ones that my boys recieve gifts from so primarily it is me, myself and I that makes the prezzies happen here..

Converting to dollar it seems to be around $230-250 (GBP 120-150) each. My kids don't get many gifts other than from us, some chocolates and a little cash from MIL and a small gift plus a little cash from my own parents. Also included in this is clothes such as undies, pj's, jumpers, etc, which I would be having to buy regardless but I stock them up for Christmas. Also I only have MIL/my parents/two friends to buy for apart from the kids so that is the bulk of my holiday spending.
Previously it has been more but this year has been especially lean work wise for DH who is self employed in the building trade and he has also had a knee operation which has put him out of action for several more weeks.
