I thought I'd take a moment to introduce myself. Everyone here seems so lovely and I am severely lacking in adult conversation lately. So...
Hello All!!
I'm Carrie, I'm a mom to an autistic kiddo and wife to a husband with a rather severe brain issue. Being a caregiver scrapping is my god-send... my me time, my way to document our very blessed life. When my husband was first diagnosed, I really realized the importance of documenting memories for our kids. Hubby has two kiddos in Idaho he hasn't been able to see due to his brain issues, so a lot of my documenting is to make sure they have the memories and his family history, too. And I'm a self-expression person by nature so I HAVE to do creative stuff or else I melt into a puddle of mean, yucky goo...
I have only really been scrapping layouts for a year and just started printing them out this year, but I'm kinda an old hat to the world of digi scrap. Way back when, I made blinkies and signature tags (remember those days???) on different mom forums by request. I'm amazed at how far the digi industry has come and how much talent exists in our niche all across the board.
I was terrible paper scrapper and started that when my son was born 11 years ago (all this is making me feel old now!!). I have always had a scrapbook in some capacity since I was child, really, but when I was a kid I created with found stuff. (which some people make an art out of, but alas, not me).
Anywho, If there's one thing you should know about me it's that I'm long winded.I'm also silly and a very glass is half-full person. I count my blessings everyday. Right now I'm working on a family album for my inlaws 50th wedding anniversary. It's me vs. 300 photos in 2.5 weeks. Prayers welcome.
I look forward to meeting everyone!!
Carrie
