For most scrapbookers, posting their layouts to galleries is either a normal part of their scrappy process or it’s fairly dreaded! Those of us in the “i <3 galleries” camp, don’t necessarily understand why anyone would be fearful of putting their pages out there in the open. But, some feel their pages aren’t good enough & are worried about negative feedback. My advise to those people… “JUMP ON IN!” I’ve been posting my layouts for ages (even my not-so-wonderful-what-was-i-thinking pages) & have yet to receive a hurtful comment.

[ooooh aaaaah]

But WHERE to post?

I recently turned to my Facebook Scrappy friends to help me compile a list of “Open Galleries”. Meaning, you can post your layouts even if you aren’t using that site’s products. I’ve added the number of layouts allowed & sizing limits if I was able to find them.

I have to agree- no one ever says anything bad in gallery comments- they go off site for that. LOL! I would love more critical feedback but I can understand why people want to comments stay polite. You gain nothing from hurting or offending someone and this hobby really is about making friends and showing the things you care most about. Thanks for the extra gallery info- I will be checking many of these out.

I’m one of that girls that dread posting to galleries, or now dreading it a little and trying to overcome the shyness. I’m posting in Challenge galleries now and then. You’re right, I never saw negative feedback anywhere. We all know that negative feedback are NO COMMENT at all.
I’m trying to learn being a little easy on myself, at least easy as I am with others (food for the A-Z of me maybe).
Anyway, thanks for the list of open galleries (the size limit is very useful), I knew only MSA.

I’m not sure I agree with NO COMMENT meaning a criticism. There are many amazing pages without comments. They happen to be posted at a bad moment when they get overlooked. On the flip side, I’ve seen plenty of times where pages have some technical difficulties, but they have tons of comments. I think these are often explained by the people posting the layout being actively commenting on other people’s layouts or participating in praise circles. SO, don’t tear yourself apart for a layout that gets overlooked. It may mean nothing at all! Post away…sometimes one you think is just alright will surprise you too!
