Art Journaling | September Page Prompts

Each month we plan to throw out a few topics/ideas/suggestions for those of you (like me) who sometimes need a nudge or a bit of inspiration to get a page started. We'll offer up prompts in the following categories: element, technique, quote, question, list and color.

Feel free to pick and choose what applies to you and leave what doesn't. And you don't ever have to use any of the prompts. It is entirely up to you. We don't want to have people feel restricted by topics/prompts that don't inspire them.

• Element: Numbers
  
• Quote: Raise your words, not voice. It is rain that grows flowers, not thunder. -- Rumi
  
• Question: Did you pay it forward?
  
• List Ideas: (by Andrea -- aka mrsaboyer) Something you don't want anybody to know-deep dark secret. Something you are letting go of, or burying. A secret hope or dream that you want to plant and watch it grow.

  Tips from Andrea... "Either totally or mostly obscured journaling. You can put it underneath a layer and then flatten it, or put a mask over it, or just in some way obscure it until it's totally or very very nearly unrecognizable."

That's gorgeous, Kathryn. Love the colors and stitches and the alpha, and just everything. I also like how you did the "let it be" in a different font and it becomes a focal point.

I didn't really use the prompts either (which means I'll be back with another), but I actually did a digital page, which never happens. My gallery has like 3 photos in it. LOL! Anyway, just wanted to share...
