There’s something to be said for watching kids make their own fun out of anything. A cardboard box, say. And that’s the idea behind MakeDo, who make reusable kits for kids to turn household items into toys. Pretty cool, huh? But even if that weren’t such a sweet idea, how fantastic is this bus!? A double-decker afternoon, complete with British accents and a high tea to finish - I’m in!

I think a lot of digital scrapbookers would agree that this hobby of ours is THE craft - it’s not messy, it’s fun, it’s easy, and the results are pretty awesome. But that’s not gonna stop us from lookin’ elsewhere from time to time, of course. I stumbled upon CHA’s new Cre8time website today, and I gotta say, I love the concept. So often, a creative pursuit becomes a luxury, something that Cre8time points out makes us a feel a little selfish about doing and enjoying. The idea behind Cre8time is to ‘reclaim your creativity’ by spending 8 hours a month creating things that make you happy. What a simple and lovely idea. And bonus: their site is a great source of arts & crafts inspiration , and they have a great variety of projects in their Cre8tions gallery. I immediately spotted this cute project from Carmen:
