You can tell it’s spring this week in the galleries! Today’s eye candy is full of color and vibrance, and I love that. Onto the Gallery Greatness!
First up, Happy by Paula. Amazing. The circles and all the little details and painty bits are perfection!
Next is Sunshine by Tara. The yellow and purple looks amazing and fits so perfectly with that cute pic. This is such gorgeous, creative design.
Juicy by Jina is a stunning dimensional page - love the layers and shapes she’s created.
The next one is Hello My Dear Friend, by sokee. It’s so soft and spring-inspired, but kinda bright and a lot of fun at the same time. Love it!
And I said there was color. This one from Laura is color-tastic and generally fabulous Which is what it’s called, so me & Laura obviously agree on that!
And last but not least, Butterfly by ValeJules. The colors and brushwork are amazing - what a great effect for incorporating the photo into the artwork!
I take photos, write, blog, and scrapbook. I also love dogs, natural light, good beer, Harry Potter, and the Oxford comma.

Hey Everyone! I’m Melanie and I’m starting off the new blog with some awesome layouts that have captured my eye this week around the community this week. I hope they inspire you to document your stories in creative and inspiring ways.
To kick off this blog post, let’s look at our own One Story Down gallery and check out Melissa’s These Boots. I just love adorable boots, of course, and the fantastic use of elements that accent this beautiful page.
Super by Mother Bear is absolutely Super Awesome! I love the photo she captured and all the wonderful word art and paper pieces just make this page an Amazing layout.
We’re not quite done with winter in some areas of the U.S. and this page by gardnwings is a stunning page showcasing their dog, Flossie. I love the blending of the the photo edges and the gorgeous use of just the right amount of elements. The journaling under the photo tells the story beautifully.
When I saw this page We Are Family by ashleyhorton010675 in the gallery I instantly loved everything about it. The family photo, the use of elements and papers, and the fabulous title work all come together to create a fabulous page to document the moment and the array of patterns and colors work wonderfully on this page.
And I’m going to end this post with a page that really grabbed my eye in the galleries by Li Li Wee named My Personal Art Journal Caravan Journey 2013. I’m starting to do a little art journaling and I’m still a bit apprehensive as I sometimes feel that I’m not very creative but this page is just awesome! I love the reds and yellows and the title across the page with the use of elements. WOW!
