DIY | Advent Calendars
Lots of Holiday traditions are getting ready to kick off tomorrow and one I absolutely adore is the Advent Calendar. Kids LOVE having a visual to countdown how many days are left til Christmas day!
Advent Calendars themselves run the gamut from preboxed, candy filled versions, to those pricey ones from high end shops, to fun DIY crafty ones! Well, quite frankly, I’m a cheapo AND I’m a crafter, so you KNOW which option I’m going for, right? I started mine last night using my new Advent Jar 2 kit.
Here are some fun DIY ideas for you to bust out your own Advent Calendar… and don’t stress if you can’t get it thrown together TODAY, you can start the advent at anytime, I’m sure your kids won’t mind getting extra doses of goodies for a few days to catch up!

[...] Advent Calendar 4 [...]
What a wonderful idea for celebrating the season! Love it.
OMG! This post reminds me. I made a hybrid advent calendar a few years back. I’ll have to dig it up.
Great ideas! Esp. loved the mini book and advent jar!
I want to make them all!!!! Thank you so much. I just love advent calendars!!!
I remember always having an advent calendar while growing up and yet I never had one for my kids *for shame* .. this year I made a jar Advent calendar (which I had never heard of) but they feel instantly in love! I seriously love the idea of activities being the ‘surprise’ inside. I’m SO doing that next year!
So many cute ideas for advent calendars. I also love your list of ideas. I just bought my daughter a Dylan’s Candy advent calendar, she just opens up one flap a day and she gets to eat her chocolate. Definitely not as pretty, creative, or special as the ones you have listed. Maybe if I start now, I’ll have mine ready for next christmas.
Oh my goodness, these are incredible. What a beautiful selection. So inspiring!
