Yesterday, I tried a paper layout for the first time in fifteen or more years, and I was totally awkward and couldn’t get things right at all. Back when I first did paper scrapping, it was probably the early days of Creative Memories where I did a lot of cutting pictures with funky-edged scissors, putting the pictures directly onto the white background, and then adding stickers, weird-shaped papers or borders or whatever. So yesterday, after deciding to give paper scrapping a try, I frustrated myself. I was afraid to cut things in case it wasn’t just right, the elements just didn’t seem like they were the right size or maybe the photo wasn’t the right size… or something. I guess it will take me some time to get used to manipulating the paper world again. I totally continue to have an ongoing respect for all of the paper scrappers. Digi just seems so much easier to me. :) You don’t have to worry about messing anything up! Paint can be erased with a keystroke, journaling can be edited/re-edited if it needs to be, and you never have to worry about ruining an element.

Earlier this month, we kicked off a new round of Paper Scrap Pirates! We are lifting this gorgeous paper layout by Anna-Maria Wolniak this month.

We double-dog dare you!
