The holidays are arriving sooner than I planned so I am trying to find a few EASY FUN projects for my little one. She is 6 and loves crafting (like most kids her age, right?). Pinterest is full of super cool and super easy ideas. I like my project to not take more than 30 mins because my girl might loose interest after a while.

These are my TOP 5. I found that a lot of these ideas are really not holiday oriented, but season oriented.

#1: Snowflakes by I Heart Naptime - I love that I don’t have to start squaring out papers before we start cutting snowflakes. Great idea to use those old coffee filters. If you don’t have any check your local dollar store they usually have them.

#2: Snowman Rosette by Chelsea’s Creative Corner - This project uses pretty basic shapes (except for the holly leaf) that your little one can cut out all by themselves. Plus you get to use those fancy scissors you haven’t used in a while.

#3: Winter Village Makeover by Fox Hollow Cottage - This is beyond brilliant! I have some of those houses that some how we always end up receiving as gifts. Most of them look cheap or badly colored due to being mass produced, but this fixes that and makes them fancy! Oh, and no glue required!

#4: Paper Trees by Holiday Craft for kids - Another brilliant idea. I like that on this one I can leave my 6 year old to work it all by herself with some paper and a pair of scissors. (Of course check your little one and their use of scissors if they have not mastered scissors yet)

Frost Crystals

#5: Frosted Windows by Holiday Crafts for kids - You can have fun while you learn a bit of science too! We are going to be doing this one during the weekend. I CAN’T WAIT!

I hope you like these simple ideas and do share with us if you have a favorite one or two that you do as part of your traditions.
