It’s December. A month where we like to see white snow, happy faces, gifts wrapped under our tree, and fireplaces burning. I’m almost done buying my gifts this year. But in the middle of shopping, my really great friend, really more like my sister, shared a story on facebook. About a girl named Bri. You can read more about her story here.

December is really the month of giving, and yet I sometimes forget to look outside my family. I get so caught up with my own life and my expectations to small things that really, in the long run, doesn’t mean anything. Who cares if my house is properly decorated or that my son will get as many gifts as possible? When there’s Bri, who in her own situation decides to do something for others.

For those of you who want to give gifts with a meaning, there’s also Unicef’s Inspired Gifts. My parents, who have everything they want, the money to buy whatever they want, and who says they want nothing for Christmas, is hereby getting 240 doses of polio vaccines for children in Nigeria.

I signed up for this blog post thinking I would do a template post. But life changes quickly and we must go along with it. I will however give you this template, to journal your memories today, for what might seem like an everyday thing today, might not be just an everyday memory tomorrow.

You can download this template here
